WESTFALL ROAD IMPROVEMENTS

Costich Engineering's Role:
Our firm played an important role in this Monroe County commissioned 4,600 L.F. reconstruction of a busy suburban road in Brighton, New York.  Survey staff established right-of-way lines and acquisitions, completed both a centerline stakeout and topographical surveys, and measurement of existing sight distance for design.  Design plans included a 31' box culvert, 3,400 L.F. of watermain improvements, new hydrants, storm sewer catch basins and piping, modifications to two signalized intersections, including loop detectors and pedestrian signals, vertical sight distance improvement to the main line roadway and horizontal sight distance at intersections

Costich Engineering's Role:

Our surveyors were commissioned to locate approximately 50 control points on a 20-mile strip of continuous railway line between Albany and Schenectady, New York. 
To complete this task a combination of Static and RTK GPS surveying systems was utilized to position the points to centimeter level accuracy.

Surveying and processing was completed in 2002.
